I have been public speaking for many years.  Even from the get-go early days of college, I was told I speak professionally and with authority. 

 

I think more than anything now, I speak from my heart and with the wisdom that life challenges have brought me.

 

People feel comfortable listening to me.  They often tell me that I bring them a sense of peace, just listening to my voice.

 

As a transgender woman, I feel the need to speak and be active.  I spent too many years not really sharing who I was, not having my own language of gender expression, that I feel very motivated to talk to groups, both small and large.

 

I am regularly invited to speak.  The opportunities have happened so many times that I have had to heed the calling to speak professionally.  The need is there.  The dialogue about gender is a dialogue of our lives and we need to hear voices of courage.

 

I was a speaker first for my first field of engineering, being guest speaker at many corporate, educational, conference and organizational events.  I also served on the faculty of a state university.  On my own spiritual journey to self, I have been invited to speak at churches, universities, counseling groups, conferences and social organizations.  

 

Though many are now speaking out, it is still relatively rare to find transgender people that are so open about themselves.  It is something I do from a healed heart set against a world of gender oppression.  

 

I love to talk and share.  It is what I do.   I build bridges.  My tool is communication.

 

If you would like me to be a guest speaker at your event, please do give me some consideration.  There are a number of gender avenues to pursue and I am happy to tailor a talk to whatever areas you would like to address.  Every talk I give is invariably unique, because each audience is unique.

 

Most often, I share stories from my journey to self and the lessons I have learned along the way.  There is one vital lesson I teach which motivates me to speak more than anything...a single simple lesson that if we all learned it and embraced it, we would all be at peace.
